How to choose inline skates?
When choosing inline skates or rollerblades, find out your foot length or size. We've included a size chart with each model description so you can find the right size for you. The most accurate way to do this is by the "MONDO" size, which corresponds to the length of the inner foot in millimeters. 3-5mm comfort zone for the toes is acceptable and even recommended if you are a beginner or will skate relatively little. For inline skates with a hardboot shell construction, the comfort zone can be larger as these skates provide the best ankle and foot support. You will also find an illustration and tips on how to accurately measure your foot length.
All our recreational or also called fitness skates have polyurethane (PU), commonly known as rubber, wheels. This means that the skates you buy in our shop will roll softly and absorb road irregularities nicely.
Which inline roller skates should I choose - 3 or 4 wheels? The advantages and differences in the number of wheels vary. For example, three wheel inline skates usually have larger wheels for faster, longer roll, higher speed and, in some cases, better rolling on uneven surfaces. 3 wheel skates are lighter (compared to a similar sized 4-wheel setup) and offer fantastic manoeuvrability (easy cornering). On the other hand, roller skates with 4 wheels generally provide more stability due to the smaller wheel size, which results in being slightly closer to the ground. For beginners, who will be skating for the first time, we usually recommend either smaller 3-wheel option (90-100mm depending on boot) or mostly the 4-wheel option. Be sure to take into account that smaller wheels don't always mean a more grounded skates, Powerslide with its new Trinity frame system may provide the same height but with larger wheels opposed to it's competitiors.
The best foot and ankle support is always provided by skates with a hardboot shell, they also have the best wear resistance and overall durability. Inline skates with a soft boot can provide more comfort and are easier to put them on and lace them.
