Skateboards for everyone
Classic skateboard is the most universal of all skateboards. It's perfect for beginners, for daily use or for performing tricks. Below you will find the information you need for choosing your skateboard size.
How to choose your skateboard size?
- For a child up to 6 years old, we recommend a skateboard up to 7" wide.
- For a child between 6 and 10 years of age, a skateboard with a width between 7.0" and 7.5" inches would be recommended.
- 10 to 13 years old teenager would prefer a skateboard between 7.5" and 7.75", which is a medium size skateboard.
- Teenagers 14 years + and adults should choose a wider skateboard that is at least 7.75" inches or wider.
Make sure to check the rider's shoe size VS skateboard width to get a better idea of what size skateboard will work best.
6.5" → 23 - 28
6.75" → 24 - 28
6.825" → 6 - 30
7.0" → 28 - 32
7.125" → 29 - 33
7.25" → 30 - 34
7.375" → 31 - 35
7.5" → 32 - 38
7.625" → 33 - 39
7.75" → 35 - 42
7.875" → 35 - 42
8" and wider → 42 and bigger
Does the length of the skateboard matter?
The length of the skateboard also plays an important role. The length of a skateboard is usually in balance with its width. The wider the skateboard, the longer it usually is. Shorter skateboards are easier to turn/steer (especially for children), while longer skateboards give more stability. However, the width of the skateboard is the most important factor to look out for, as in the skateboarding world it is the measure that best describes the final choice.
