When USD decides to design a new skate, you can be sure it will be a game changer.
Once the decision to create a new aggressive inline skate had been made, we had to be sure that it would stand out from the crowd. We decided to break the rules that have been abided by for the past 14 years, and think outside the box – why does a skate need so much hardware? Is UFS really the best solution?
For USD, the Aeon would be about performance, the key word in the creative project. We designed an affordable, high performance skate that combines the boot and soulplate (unibody), minimizing hardware and moving you closer to the ground, enabling perfect control while at the same time maximizing the possibilities of larger wheel use with all the benefits of this new, low center of gravity.
You heard right. This skate is not UFS Compatible. Are we crazy? Consider this: UFS was invented as a standard mounting system many years ago and is optimized for a maximum wheel size of 60mm. But since its creation, larger wheels such as 72mm have become popular again, a wheel size that reminds us of the popularity of OG blading roots, allowing better roll while enabling great control and space to grind.
We are proud to announce that with our new unibody design our boot is actually lower with 61mm wheels than many other skates that use 58 or 55mm wheels.
Remember when USD made the first ever carbon skate for aggressive skaters? We took a risk, and revolutionized the skate industry, and now we’re doing it again. The USD Aeon has been designed from scratch to be affordable while being perfect right out of the box. If you’re worried about not being able to change the frames, complete unibody shells including soulplate and frames will of course be available straight away.
The USD Aeon skate is therefore a one piece, lightweight and comfortable skate with the lowest profile ever made, allowing for a whole new level of advance performance for street skaters worldwide.
How to find your correct inline skate / rollerblade size?
For the best performance, inline skates should have a snug fit. It's not necessary to buy inline skates one size larger than your actual foot size; as they break in, all inline skates will expand and widen over time. Please note that everyone has their own measure of comfort, thus please make your final decision also considering your past experience with shoes you are wearing on daily basis. It's important to know that soft boots will expand more than hybrid (Swell etc.) or carbon boots. While we would never recommend any free space and feet movement in soft boot skates, then hardboot skates actually allow more space and comfort level given the improved support of the skate shell.
3 easy steps to measure your feet:
1. Place and fix an A4 sheet flush against a straight wall. Wear your usual skating socks for more accurancy and place your foot on the sheet, with your heel touching the wall, make sure your heel touches the wall without any pressure. |
2. Stand relaxed upon the foot you are measuring. Then, draw a line at your big toe and when marking make sure to hold the pencil vertically to prevent any deviation. It's easiest to ask a friend to draw the line for more precision. Measure the length of the paper to the line: that's your mondopoint size. TIP: For the best fit, measure your foot after a short skating session or at the end of the day. |
3. Do the same for the other foot and compare measurements. The correct size that you should end up with is the length of your longer foot. Now with those measurements, you can take the correct size from our size charts. |

 | HEAT MOLDING technology. Heat up boots and adjust them! MYFIT logo on your skates means you can heat mold them and shape to foot. How can I heat mold them?
In the process of heating special thermo forming liner materials become soft and puffy. When cooling they stay firm and copy shape of your foot. This is done to achieve maximum comfort, relieve possible pressure points and maximize overall performance. Is heat molding MYFIT liners mandatory? Not at all, because most skaters find them comfortable right out of the box. Also, while skating, they adapt to your feet from natural body temperature! |
 | DUAL FIT technology. Liner that stretches and fits two sizes of feet. The shells of hardboot skates will always cover two sizes no matter which brand you take. So why not use a liner which sufficiently covers two sizes, instead of two single size liners where the smaller size liner comes with thicker padding to fit up the shell? The toe part of a Dual Fit liner is made of 4-way stretchable SBR material which expands and provides a snug comfortable fit and enhances performance. This allowing us to cater to for sizes with a single liner. |
